One common concern for members is the lack of qualified people. Whether it be a pressman or a sales representative, there are just not enough employees.
VMA is working to make an impact on this talent shortage. One effort is hosting a member-only career day at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo on April 17th and 18th.
This event is limited to member companies of VMA + PIA only. There is a suggested donation to the GrC OF $250.
Benefits of the event:
- Showcase your organization to fresh talent
- Opportunity to meet and interview full-time or summer interns in 4 concentrations: print management, design reproduction, packaging design, and UI/UX design
- VMA members in good standing are requested to make a $250 donation to the GrC department
- You also receive a tour of the Cal Poly GrC facilities
How to Prepare:
Some members use displays, while many opt to bring samples and literature that describe their organizations. Giveaways are popular with the students and leave a lasting impression.
